This is Dr. Russ, Norbert's regular vet and one of the first people in his corner. When I felt lumps under Norbert's jaw and brought him in, Dr. Russ confirmed what I feared. Then he did something just as important -- he sat with me, walked me through what it meant, and convinced me to see an oncologist. That conversation changed everything.
The woman beside him is one of his vet techs -- and one of Norbert's former camp counselors. He already loved her before any of this began. Seeing her there that day, in a completely different role, was one of those quiet reminders that the right people have a way of showing up.
